The City Council of Torre Pacheco renews the collaboration agreements with the Association of Pensioners and Retirees "Virgen del Rosario" of Torre-Pacheco, and "Virgen de la Consolación" of El Jimenado, as well as with the Associations of Pensioners of San Cayetano, Dolores of Pacheco and Balsicas.
The Mayor of Torre Pacheco Antonio León, accompanied by the Councilor for Social Services and Equality, Veronica Martinez, visited the Senior Centers of Torre-Pacheco, San Cayetano, Dolores de Pacheco, Balsicas and El Jimenado, to hold a meeting with the directives of these associations and then proceed to the signing of the grant agreement to cover the expenses of maintenance and implementation of activities of each Association.
The collaboration agreement with the Association of Pensioners of San Cayetano signed by the President of the Club, Miguel Jiménez Avilés and the Mayor of Torre-Pacheco amounts to 1,400 euros.
Likewise, the Mayor and the president of the Association of Pensioners and Retirees of Balsicas, Dolores Buendía Ros signed the agreement of collaboration between the City Council and the said association, with the financial contribution of 4,700 euros.
Also, the purpose of the subsidy agreement of the Dolores de Pacheco Pensioners Association is to cover the costs of maintaining and carrying out activities, with an economic contribution of 3,700 euros;
agreement that has been signed by the President of the Club, Teodoro Vera Albaladejo and the Mayor of Torre-Pacheco.
In El Jimenado, the Mayor and the president of the Leonardo Jimenez Association, signed the collaboration agreement whose financial contribution for all the eligible costs amounts to 1,700 euros.
Antonio Alcaraz Gómez, president with more trajectory and older than directs the Association of Pensioners and Retirees "Virgen del Rosario" of Torre-Pacheco, the largest in the municipality, was in charge of signing the collaboration agreement with the Mayor of the town , whose economic contribution amounts to 9,500 euros.
Veronica Martinez, Councilor for Social Services, has valued the work done by these associations, and the importance of the activities that are developed for the revitalization of this group and the locality.
Also, he noted that in addition to this grant from the Department of Social Services, activities are developed for the elderly, as well as information and advice on topics of interest.
