The councilors of the Popular Party of Torre Pacheco Josefa Marín Otón, Francisco Bueno, Nicolás Buendía, Juana Madrid, Francisco Cánovas, Francisco Albaladejo, Juan Carlos Martínez and Teresa Roca have filed a complaint against the 11 members of the Torre Pacheco government team.
The complaint accuses all members of the current government team (consisting of PSOE and Independent) of limiting the participation of PP councilors in the municipal budgets of 2016, as well as to discuss and approve the full point without these had enough information violating their fundamental rights.
The budgets were already appealed in the administrative litigation last year 2016 for the same reasons.
On the occasion of this complaint, the 11 councilors have been summoned by the Court of San Javier to declare as defendants by the Popular Party during the first week of March.
For the Spokesman of the Government Team, Carlos López, the complaint represents a "general political cause against anyone who opposes the policies of the PP of Torre Pacheco" and supposes a "political revenge of the current spokesperson, Fina Marín, as a consequence of the motion of censure that ended 12 years of disastrous management and waste in the City of Torre Pacheco. "
"We know that we are going to have to put up with all kinds of accusations from the Popular Party from here to the end of the legislature, which is going to try to destabilize our municipality and this government team," Lopez said.
"It is the modus operandi that they are using where they do not govern, and that has already been discredited in other municipalities."
Lopez has also announced that they will take "the appropriate legal actions before the falsity of the accusations" until the last consequences, "in the expectation that this process initiated by the Popular Party has no route since it is clearly an attempt to judicialize political life "
The spokesman "has been sure of the prompt filing of the case, given the conviction that the budget approval process was the most transparent in history, with open assemblies in all the districts and in Torre Pacheco, three informative commissions, and the acceptance of a large number of amendments from opposition groups. "
"We will continue working for Torre Pacheco, supervising the contracts and putting order in the municipal accounts, with transparency, fighting against corruption, which has so damaged the image of this town, and recovering the illusion for a better Pacheco Tower."
