The Mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Antonio León accompanied by the Councilor for Local Development, Rosalía Rosique closed this morning the training workshop on basic computing.
The workshop aimed mainly at the unemployed, so they know the necessary tools to know how to use the computer and the internet to search for employment and for basic self-sufficiency as a computer user.
This first workshop is carried out by 9 students in the computer room of the Department of Employment and Local Development.
This activity is framed within the project of the Municipality of Torre-Pacheco, called "LOCAL DINAMIZATION TORRE-PACHECO" subsidized by the Regional Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia (SEF), co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF), within the Local Public Employment Program for beneficiaries of the National Youth Guarantee System.
With this project, at the end of December, three full-time young workers were hired for six months, specifically a computer technician and two business techniques and tourism activities.
The purpose of this project is to stimulate the companies and the local economy, through the promotion of new technologies, the revitalization of businesses and local commerce, as well as actions to boost and enhance the elements of local tourist attraction.
Within this project it is expected to carry out activities to update company data, as well as to update and prepare a tourism guide, update information on local development and tourism on the municipal website, as well as training workshops on new technologies. and computer science, among others.
In addition to this project, the City Council of Torre-Pacheco is also developing the "CONECTA-T II" project, also subsidized by the Regional Employment and Training Service and co-financed by the European Social Fund, within the Local Public Employment Program for young people enrolled in Youth Guarantee.
