The conference entitled "Urgent archaeological excavation in Los Fontes: an example of occupation of space in the Campo de Cartagena", given by the Pacheco archaeologist, Federico Fuentes Miralles, made known the fruits of this excavation, little known.
A total of ten pieces of great importance, due to the concrete sequence that has levels of Roman occupation, medieval and modern, have allowed to take the name of Torre Pacheco to the capital of Murcia.
The pieces surprise because of their great diversity and the good state of preservation that they present: two large jugs, painted and of late medieval origin, a frying pan, two vials (narrow neck bottles), an ataifor (bowl of type font also low medieval) and two jars, one of them with green enamel.
In addition, during the excavation work, were found remains of mining and metallurgy and what could be a Roman military camp.

The chronology of the pieces ranges from the second century BC to the contemporary era and, in the words of the director of the Archaeological Museum of Murcia, Luis de Miquel, some copies are unique or very significant in his series, having the unique opportunity to contemplate and enjoy them as "the piece of the month", waiting for a near future that they can, again, return to Torre Pacheco to be exposed with the idea of ​​taking the citizen to the knowledge of their roots.
