The government delegate in the Murcia Region, Rafael González Tovar, and the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, inaugurated the Multipurpose Center The Jimenado.
The construction of the work has been funded by the State Fund, 2009, amounting to 684,000 euros and have led to the creation during performance of 63 direct jobs.
The new Community Center has been designed as multipurpose facility to serve all the different groups of housewives, the elderly, youth and other associations in this population.
In addition, its modular design and open plan allows for maximum flexibility and alternative uses of space for which it was designed.
In this new building we have established two areas, a first area of cultural classrooms equipped with youth, seniors and housewives and a second area for leisure and hospitality through a cafeteria.
The total constructed area is 620 square meters.
González Tovar stressed the importance of this new social center of The Jimenado "The facilities built - has said, will allow all members of that population movements have a meeting place where they can develop their work along throughout the year, under the best conditions of comfort. "
Finally, the government delegate pointed out that Torre Pacheco has received state funding in 2009 and 2010, 8.5 million euros to run a total of 49 projects at the municipal works that will employ 809 people and also funding 5 programs full of social spending to provide more than 7,500 social activities in education and dependency.
