The Governing Council has approved an investment of 2,588,026 euros in the municipality of Torre Pacheco to improve road safety in the MR-F27 road which links the village of Dolores de Pacheco with the Mar Menor motorway (RM-19) .
The project responds to an agreement between the Community and the local council last May, the Ministry of Public Works and Land accounts for 60 percent of the amount and the remaining 40 Consistory.
The work, which will run in the first four miles of track, is the expansion of the existing road up to nine meters, compared to 4.5 today, so that the road will have two lanes of 3.5 meters shoulders of a meter.
Also, install a drainage system and renewed signaling to enhance the security features throughout the section under performance.
This road serves many farms and moving it about a million vehicles a year, so that the objective of this project is to provide it with the greatest safety and comfort for users.
