Already in progress the refurbishment of the Plaza del Ayuntamiento de Torre Pacheco which promotes the city council.
The intervention in the Town Hall Square will be held in two stages.
First act in the entire area, comprising the demolition of existing buildings, utilities, landscaping, paving, lighting and furniture.
It removes all elements of street furniture.
Finally, work is carried out pruning and transplanting of trees, conserving existing trees six to a new location.
With all deleted items are the cleansing of the land, being perfectly level and ready for the construction of the new plaza.
The cost of this action is estimated at 270,000 €.
The completion of the works is estimated to be within 11 months.
The refurbishment of the square has been awarded to the company FORJESCON SL
The Torre-Pacheco Town Council is undertaking a series of actions aimed at improving the urban area of downtown.
Among the groups of actions planned is the renovation of an entire axis from the Rambla to the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, including the Paseo de Villa Esperanza, New Town Hall Square, Plaza de Vicente Antón, Town Hall Square and Amalio Square Fernández Delgado, connecting with the pedestrian on Main Street and Avenida Fontes.
With this action we want to generate a continuous space that can be perceived as unique, which is developing an urban life more pleasant for pedestrians and more convenient for citizens.
