This morning has been unveiled at the Air CAES (Center for Performing Arts) Torre-Pacheco II National Short Film Festival for Diversity "Andoenredando."
The ceremony was chaired by the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid.
The aim of this festival is to promote cultural diversity through the dissemination of short films and documentaries of social content and the promotion of young filmmakers who bet on a film genre committed to the society in which we live.
Andoenredando Festival is the only event in the Region of Murcia, which is specialized in a social theme in all its areas (immigration, equality, development, disability, poverty, human rights, etc..).
It attracted more than sixty works from around the country, a considerable number when you consider the theme of the Festival.
Twenty short films have been selected, and the jury's final verdict will be announced on Saturday, November 6 at the Closing Ceremony of the Festival to be held at 20:30 in the Performing Arts Center of Torre Pacheco.
4 and November 5 will be screened at the Performing Arts Center Torre Pacheco an official selection short film out of competition aimed at promoting participation and intercultural dialogue between young people of different nationalities.
In this section we screened four short films made by young people from the Institutes of the municipality of Torre Pacheco, and two short documentaries: "Flowers of Rwanda," the Director David Munoz (Goya winner 2010) and "Binta and the Great Idea" of Director Javier Fesser (Oscar nominee 2008).
The programming includes the projection open twenty finalists short films in the official section of the Festival, as well as two workshops and Characterization Interpretation to be held on 5 and 6 November at the Performing Arts Center, taught by actor and presenter Sergio Villanueva and professional television makeup artist Ana Martinez, and author meet with directors and actors finalists.
This Festival is an initiative of Project Andoenredando "developed by the Municipality of Torre Pacheco since 2008 and financed by the Ministry of Labour and Immigration in the context of innovative programs for the integration of immigrants.
