The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, today inaugurated the new Center for Early Intervention Torre Pacheco which will assist a total of 25 children six years and has allowed the creation of six jobs.
The new infrastructure Prometheus Association has been funded in 75 percent of the cost by the Ministry of Social Policy, amounting in total to 573,640 euros.
With this center, the first to be operated in this county, completing the network of services available to the Prometheus in Torre Pacheco Association and was formed by a Day Centre and a Special Employment Centre.
Bascuñana counselor stressed the importance of the entry into service of the Early Childhood Center is primarily in so far attended the Association Prometheus users aged from 16 years.
But now, the Early Childhood Center is assisting children between 0 and 6 years with a disability or be at risk to be exposed.
The new center is divided into two floors to accommodate the different rooms in which services are developed for evaluation, therapeutic care and stimulation treatments, psychomotor, physical and speech therapy as well as family care center and administrative offices.
Moreover, the counselor Bascuñana, accompanied by the local mayor, also visited the Institute for Social Action of Torre Pacheco which hosts various primary care and social services.
