Municipal Library Torre-Pacheco has received this important award of international scope that have participated in projects of urban intervention in Europe.
Convened by the Senate Department for Urban Development.
It has two categories, each of which have selected 10 finalists and among them a prize:
- Work space: where the "Library and Reading Park Torre-Pacheco" has won first prize
- Ephemeral (in this section has been a finalist a project by architect Santiago Seville Cirugeda, who performed at the Espai d 'Art Contemporani de Castellón in 2005)
As the first call of the award, the selection of projects vying for the same was wider (from the last 5 years).
In the category of work built the finalists are projects in the Netherlands, Besiktas (Istanbul), Magdeburg (Germany), Rijeka (Croatia), Saint-Nazario (France), Zurich (Switzerland), Warsaw (Poland), and there is also draft shores of the M-30 in Madrid.
On the occasion of the Award have mounted an exhibition in one of the ships of the old building of the Berlin Tempelhof Airport, and have published a catalog.
