This morning has been presented in the Hall of IMSAS (Instituto Municipal Service for Social Action) Torre-Pacheco of the study will be done throughout this year on obesity in young people in the municipality of Torre-Pacheco with the aim of preventing obesity in children and youth of our community, entitled "Diagnosis of health of the population of children and adolescents in the municipality of Torre Pacheco."
The study will be prepared by experts from the University of Murcia and the town of Torre Pacheco collaborate and coordinate research across the entire process of preparing the report.
Obesity was the epidemic of the twentieth century and becoming the epidemic of XXI century, not only by the fact weigh more, but even more have health complications (hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol, arthritis ...).
That is why, so you have to do prevention of obesity.
From City of Torre-Pacheco is going to produce this report, through which we will know the state of obesity in the town and through which measures may be taken to correct the medium term.
The ceremony was chaired by the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, Councilman Hall Health, Antonio Cozar, by Juan Enrique Barranco Pereñiguez, associate professor of preventive medicine and public health at the University of Murcia, and Juan José Gascón Canovas, Professor of Preventive Medicine at the University of Murcia.
The development of this study will cost about 14,000 €, an amount that has been provided by Irrigation and Coinsa Levante SL.
