The Collective "Elle ACyT" Women Painters of Torre-Pacheco accompanied by the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, opened yesterday at the Exhibition Hall of the Public Library of Torre-Pacheco, a retrospective exhibition to celebrate , coinciding with International Women's Day, the sixth anniversary of his first exhibition, held in March 2005.
This exhibition will comprise nearly one hundred pictures that show the creative process of the members of this group over six years of activity and stay over one month in that showroom.
The purpose of this exhibition, which the painters pachequeras have dubbed with the title "And looking back ... .." is to show their evolution as painters during the past six years of travel and the role in this process artistic maturity and improvement, has played associative activity, thanks to which they were born and whose development is its raison d'etre.
This exhibition has been integrated also in the framework of the Conference on Women in Rural Areas to be held until March 11 at the Hall of said City Library Torre-Pacheco.
Throughout its six year history, the group of painters "Elle ACyT", has held or participated in exhibitions including at the following locations: Hellin, Los Alcazares, Los Martínez del Puerto, San Pedro del Pinatar, Murcia, Bullas Torre Pacheco, San Javier Cieza.
Moreover, several of its members have been awarded for their individual participation in various painting competitions.
