The Minister of Health, María Ángeles Palacios, opened with the mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García, the facilities of the Primary Care Clinic of San Cayetano.
During the ceremony, Palacios said that "the redevelopment of this center has made it possible to increase the supply of services and include in the portfolio pediatric care."
The actions undertaken in the Office of San Cayetano also allowed, explained the minister, provide the center of a Consultation of Family Medicine, Nursing and Cures of a Child Nursing and four modules waiting room.
Palacios said: "Enlargement has been a marked improvement and enhanced services, as the Clinic of San Cayetano had only a family doctor and a nurse."
In this regard, he added that "this is partly because there has been a significant increase in the surface of the center."
The work performed in the Office of San Cayetano have resulted in an increase of 146.25 meters square area so that after the reform and expansion, has an area of ​​286.80 meters squares.
To this end the Ministry has invested a total of 192,971 euros.
Currently, the center provides health services to 1,196 people though, as Parker said, "has the capacity to serve a population of 2,500 people."
Therefore, he added that "it is an infrastructure designed and built for the demands that may emerge in coming years and intended to provide a quality service."
