The City of Torre-Pacheco, through the Municipal Services Institute for Social Action, has been developing since January 2011, the Aurora Project, funded by the Instituto Murciano Social Action, under the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration, and aims to complement the activities carried out with a group of people living in the city or at risk of social exclusion, improving their employability.
As part of this initiative is scheduled to launch in the town on March 28, 2011 for a course on "Design and scale manufacture of personal ornaments and precious materials."
The course, which will target 15 people at risk of exclusion previously derived from the various technical programs and social services, aims to train in techniques and knowledge for initiation into the office of jewelery.
The course will last 81 hours, spread over 27 sessions taught on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm in the classroom Municipal Services Institute for Social Action of Torre-Pacheco.
This course has a scholarship assistance.
In parallel, the 30th of March, will start a second training activity addressed to the participants of that course: Gender equality and self-employment.
This course aims to train in techniques and job search strategies and self-employment, and working awareness of issues related to reconciling work and family life.
Its duration is 45 hours, taught in 15 three-hour sessions on Wednesdays from 9:30 h to 12:30 h.
Both courses completed in mid June this year.
