The Torre-Pacheco Town Council through the Board of Culture held yesterday at the Civic Center Plaza San Cayetano a day cultures, in previous editions held in Torre Pacheco, Roldan, Balsicas and Dolores de Pacheco.
The reason you do this year in San Cayetano is because in this hamlet a large number of foreigners, for this reason we had a great participation and impact among the residents of the hamlet.
Throughout the day, you could taste typical foods, folklore, various stands, taekwondo demonstrations, parades of Semana Santa made by children from the Colegio de San Cayetano ...
In these days the aim is "to build citizenship," we can all perceive the community as their own, as a place of belonging and reference.
Therefore, these days are not intended to be more than a meeting place for people of diverse backgrounds and cultures through which we hope to contribute to this greater understanding and respect for "the other" and go beyond the mere expression of multicultural folk.
Our goal is multiculturalism, the passage of a community of a small isolated communities, without losing its identity, cultural heritage and incorporate the positive values ​​of each.
