The regional government has given the green light to an agreement between the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment and the municipality of Torre Pacheco for the creation of the Municipal Conservatory of Dance of the municipality.
The aim is to increase the supply of places in the Dance Arts Education in the Region to improve the quality of educational provision.
The future of vocational education and taught conservatory will be located on the premises of the existing Performing Arts Center, where conditioned classrooms and timetables will be established and the number of school places.
The City will provide the center and non-teaching staff and teaching and specialties taught.
The regional government, in turn, contribute to the maintenance of facilities through annual grants.
With its launch, the Conservatorio de Danza de Torre Pacheco will join the existing regional network, composed of five community centers and four regional, in which more than 3,000 students receive these teachings.
The region also has an important range of Higher Education Arts centers adapted to the new European Higher Education Area.
They have implemented the new degrees, such as the Conservatory of Music, the School of Dramatic Arts and the School of Design, where some 900 students are currently studying.
