The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, together with the Councillor for Social Welfare, Conchi Sánchez Pérez and the Councillor for Equality, Encarna Navarro, opened yesterday at the XIX Torre Pacheco Week Meeting for Equality and the Association membership.
This week, aims to encourage the participation of associations of women, organizing specific activities that promote the exchange of experiences and collaboration among the various associations in the municipality.
After the opening Cayeuela Juan Rodriguez, Cocah personal and emotional labor expert, gave a workshop on "Learning to be happy."
In addition, next Friday, June 17, the Association María de la Cabeza in the hamlet of Los pachequera Meroño represent the play "The Shoemaker's Prodigious" by Federico García Lorca in the multi-purpose space Meron.
Meeting This Week, sponsored by the Municipal Service for Social Action of the City of Torre-Pacheco, assist the 16 women's associations that make up the network of associations in the municipality, to publicize the most representative of ones and others in regard to equal opportunities, share life experiences and vision of each, creating a space for exchange of women.
In each edition works a topic related to gender inequality or concerns that show women in our town.
This nineteenth edition, the content focuses on activities aimed at strengthening the well-being of women and encourage their participation in the cultural world.
The objectives of the meeting are:
Promote communication and coordination among the various women's associations in the municipality.
Strengthening the well-being of women.
Reflect on the formulas of participation and social action in the women's associations.
To promote integration and participation of women in various manifestations of social, political and cultural.
The launch this initiative responds to the need to promote a reflection on the role of women in our people and bring about positive change to improve the lives of neighbors of Torre Pacheco.
The nineteenth meeting, is just one stroke over daily work is done from the IMSAS to encourage and promote participation of women in all spheres of social life, work and culture of our town.
