This morning has been signed at the headquarters of IMSAS in Torre-Pacheco, a collaboration agreement between the Municipal Service for Social Action and the Association "Holidays in Peace."
The event was chaired by the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid and Nuria García Mesa, President of the Association "Holidays in Peace"
The purpose of the Convention is to coordinate cooperation between the two entities for the development of a draft Juvenile Temporary Home Sahrawi Refugees, Families of the Region of Murcia during July and August 2011.
These children come from refugee camps in Tindouf, nestled in the toughest desert where, in summer, the average temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius.
The children stay with host families in July and August, living as a member of the family, providing the opportunity to enjoy and live for two months in a different environment to that of permanent tension of the situation arising war and refuge to which they are subjected.
In addition, they provided during their stay, overcoming the shortcomings of health and power bring with them.
The Sahrawi children receive checkups, vaccination is completed and are treated in the pathologies that were detected.
The activities to be established under the Convention to develop the Holidays in Peace Association, are coordinating with the local counterpart of the Project (Youth Secretariat of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic) and the partner associations (associations of Friends of the People Sahrawi different municipalities in the region), the development of the draft to be adopted by the Autonomous Community of Murcia and conducting campaigns on a regional basis, among others.
The economic contribution of IMSAS for all the above activities amounted to $ 3,000.
