The Minister of Public Works and Planning, Antonio Seville, along with the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, this morning visited the refurbishment of the RM-F27 road, which runs through the municipality of Torre Pacheco between Dolores de Pacheco and San Cayetano and which will house the future Museum of Paleontology and Human Evolution in the Region of Murcia, which is currently under construction.
These works are progressing and will be completed in October.
The works are consisting in improving road 3444 meters, by the widening of the platform that will provide two lanes of 3.5 meters and the total remodeling of the previous signal.
Also, install a drainage system and renewed signaling to enhance the security around the object of stage acting.
The reconstruction of strong hot asphalt shall conform to the peculiarities of the intense traffic, 2,000 vehicles a day, of which 15% is heavy, flowing on this stretch due to the high agricultural activity in the area.
In the first of the two stretches where the road splits, which runs from the roundabout for liaison with the RM-19 to the roundabout intersection with the RM-F28, and have recovered 90% of affected services and has fully implemented the earthworks and the granular layer of the pavement.
As the second installment, which is continuing to the town of Los Dolores de Torre Pacheco, missing only telephony services in regard to works of replacement and has already begun excavating the sides of the existing road for extending it.
The works include an investment of 2,588,026 euros, of which the Ministry of Public Works and Planning provides 60 percent of the amount and the Consistory of 40 per cent.
