The Association Cehegín Atletico its annual awards for the best athletes in the Region of Murcia has named Maria Isabel Lopez Murphy as the best athlete sub 18 in the Region of Murcia.
Known by all as Chavela, is 17 and is practicing Taekwondo since age 10, member of the Club Koryo Torre-Pacheco.
He started out in the cadet category in which it proclaimed champion of Spain in 2009, a year after his perseverance and dedication to the sport make Junior Champion of Spain, 2010 the same year the National Team is convened on 3 occasions to prepare the European Championship in Sweden and obtained a creditable 5th place, last season the national team is regarded as the best athlete of the category and calls directly to participate in the World Junior Championship held in Mexico and get a 8 Âş of course, is this season and after the World Cup when Chavela youth makes the leap to the senior and is proclaimed in Spain Sub Runner 21.
This year (2011) has again proclaimed champion of Spain and is ranked Junior to represent Spain in the Junior European Championship (Cyprus, November'11)
