On September 17, 1836 was definitively established the city of Torre-Pacheco, as reflected in the first and oldest Chapter Act to retain in our files, dating from that date.
On September 17, 2011 the town turned 175 years of that historic day that defined and changed the future of our people, its land and its people.
The celebration was in three acts: an official ceremony in the Plenary Hall of the Municipality of Torre-Pacheco, a Mass and a memorial concert.
The official ceremony in the Plenary Hall paid tribute to all the mayors of the municipality, and all council members.
At the ceremony the national anthem was heard Torre-Pacheco.
In addition, custom pens were given to the 4 former mayors and current Mayor.
At the end of the ceremony all the councilors and mayors attending the event were a group photo.
Later, at the memorial service held in the parish church of Torre-Pacheco, the 5 mayors made an offering to the patron saint of Torre-Pacheco, Our Lady the Virgin of Rosario.
Juan Alcaraz, mayor from 1971 to 1976, presented the constitutional act of the City of Torre Pacheco.
Manuel Martínez Roca, mayor from 1976 to 1979, presented the shield of Torre Pacheco.
Pedro Jimenez, mayor from 1979 to 1999, handed the baton.
Francisco Sáez Sáez, mayor from 1999 to 2003, presented a bouquet of flowers.
Finally, Daniel García Madrid, mayor from 2003 to present, gave the bread and wine.
Finally, at nine o'clock the Performing Arts Center Torre-Pacheco (CAES) held a memorial concert of the Musical Association Our Lady of PASIC.
The concert will take place in Torre-Pacheco CAES.
This memorial is the most important of the 175 anniversary of the Constitution of the Municipality of Torre Pacheco in 1836.
Throughout the year carried out more acts as the recognition with a bronze medal to those groups in the municipality with 20 or more years old, among others.
In addition, it has already held a swearing-in ceremony civil, the unveiling of the bell tower and the New Town Hall.
