The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, along with the CEO of Citizen Services, Drug Dependency, and Consumption, Juan Manuel López Ruiz and director of the International University of the Sea, Manuela Lopez Tenes, today launched the start of the course 'reproductive Environmental Health: Prevention of alcohol and other drugs during pregnancy and lactation', which aims to prevent drug use in today's society, especially in women, since, according to statistics of National Drug Plan, has seen an increase in the number of women starting to use snuff and alcohol.
The event started at 9.00 pm in the Municipal Public Library Torre-Pacheco.
During the inauguration, Manuela Lopez Tenes has highlighted "the commitment to excellence that the University" with each of the courses and activities offered.
Likewise, Tenes Lopez has also highlighted the "success of this 28 th edition in which they have enrolled a record number of students."
On the other hand, the general director of Citizen Services, Drug Addiction and Consumption, Juan Manuel Ruiz Ros, also wanted to emphasize that "the consumption of alcohol during pregnancy" has become one of the most important fundamental problems on which to act and prevent.
It has also taken the opportunity to confirm the success of the 'Environmental Reproductive Health Consultation', the new query you created in the hospital in Murcia Arrixaca.
These courses, which have a total duration of 20 hours and will last until Thursday 22 September, are part of the summer activities of the Sea International University organizes every year and this will be the second edition in which the municipality Torre-Pacheco became the seat of these activities.
The price of each course is 65 euros and has established a limit of 80 students.
