The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, has met today with President of the Segura basin, Charo Quesada, to visit the new section of the promenade, between Torre Pacheco and Los Olmos, who had been conditioned in order to prevent flooding in the township.
During this conditioning process, cleaned and equipped the hydraulic section of a section sufficient to allow the evacuation of the channels, etc., and also stabilized and protected the slopes of the channeling, and conditioned and landscaped environment of the channel to public use.
Remember that this stretch of the boulevard between Torre Pacheco and Los Olmos has always been huge problems in the municipality, as it often caused the overflow and flood the surrounding urban and agricultural areas.
These recent works have made an investment by the Segura River Basin, about 400,000 euros.
