The Association of Windmills, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, held on Sunday September 25 the traditional procession in honor of St. Michael the Archangel, patron of millers.
The events began early in the morning (09:00 pm), from the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary where distributed white handkerchiefs and sticks of cane to make the pilgrimage path.
The church is named rosemary this year to honor D.
Juan Sanchez Alcaraz, a former mayor of Torre Pacheco.
From the Church all attendees, went with the image of San Miguel to the mill of Uncle Pacorro.
Here there was a concentration of carriages and horses, where he enjoyed a taste of San Miguel cakes and sweet wine.
After this break, he went on pilgrimage to stroll through the village, passing through the mill of the PASIC.
Once there, there was a miller snacks for all attendees.
Torre-Pacheco there is a great passion for these giant wind, and the proof is that during all the year round them perform activities organized by the Friends of Mills Torre-Pacheco, thanks to which travels back recovering the original costumes of the time and putting in place the icons in the field of Cartagena, through the Ruta de los Molinos de Viento, organized by the Department of Tourism and also thanks to the Association of the Friends of the Windmills, led by Antonio Pagan.
In the municipality of Torre Pacheco several windmills that are artistic monuments of cultural heritage of the Autonomous Region of Murcia.
They are of two kinds: bread or cereal and water or arcaduces out.
