Yesterday the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, together with the Councillor for Health, Encarna Navarro closed the training course for parents "Family Education", which the city of Torre-Pacheco, through the Program for Promotion Health and framed in the Municipal Plan for the Prevention of Drug Addiction launched.
This course aims to teach parents the most important aspects of family education as the establishment of certain rules governing the existence and the life of the smallest, by maintaining a firm but fair discipline exerted by parents warm communication in an atmosphere of unconditional love.
The course is based on social learning principles and the most current research techniques that allow the formation of strong families and organizations.
Looking for risk prevention and staff development and promotion of children in general.
The course began on Wednesday, November 2, has taught at the Municipal Public Library consists of five sessions that have focused on topics such as emotions, autonomy, rules and boundaries, building self-esteem in children and conflict resolution.
Parent School Program is a prevention-training program conducted by the Municipality of Torre Pacheco from the Municipal Social Services Action Plan and through the Municipal Drug Addiction Prevention.
This course takes place with the signing of an agreement of collaboration with the Family Action to develop actions on prevention of drug addiction.
Parents Schools began its journey in 2008 and during these four years has taught a total of 10 courses, in Torre Pacheco and in the villages of Roldan, Balsicas, Dolores and San Cayetano, with a total participation of 427 parents .
Raised from the Framework for Health Education and from the specific prevention of the problem of drug addiction (prevention medium and long term), this course provides the objective to inform and educate parents on the important but complex work act as parents.
Parents School program is therefore to provide some knowledge regarding the role of parents who may serve to improve their work as such.
In this sense, along the course, have been dealt with important issues such as emotions, children's autonomy, self-esteem, boundaries and rules, praise and how to resolve conflicts.
All aimed at improving family functioning and with it our personal fulfillment which undoubtedly will affect those around us.
