Prizes were awarded yesterday the contest was held last Sunday, November 13.

Day which celebrated the ninth day of information, awareness and cleaning of Cabezo Gordo, a natural element of high environmental interest, history and culture.

When photography competition 7 people signed up bringing lots of photographs, which show the flora and fauna of Cabezo Gordo and cleaning that took place that day.

The school award in the Competition III increased waste during cleanup day Cabezo Gordo was as follows:

-1st prize of 600 €, for the IES Gerardo Molina

(Only two centers participated: Gerardo Molina School and Our Lady of Sorrows)

Winners of Photo Contest V Cabezo Gordo were:

- 1st prize (digital camera) to Peter Buendia.

- 2nd prize (camera bag) to Isidro Vivancos Ros.

- 3rd prize (digital processing 100 photos) for Carmelo Castejón

At the awards ceremony attended by Daniel García Madrid, Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Francisco Martinez Rosique, Councillor for the Environment, and the institute directors and participants in the photo contest.

The Mayor was very pleased with this type of activities that help keep the Cabezo Gordo, that make each year is cleaner.

Also showed their pride for the people that this awareness to the environment and who cares about building a better future.
