The City of Torre-Pacheco through the Municipal Institute for Social Action Services and framed in the Senior Project has organized a roundtable to discuss Sleep Disorders in the Elderly.
Older people more often have sleep disturbances.
With age there is a change in the mechanisms of sleep, and that aging has a number of effects on it, causing both the quantity and quality of sleep hours that the older person is changed.
In this sense, the activity aims to respond to the concerns that often occur among older people because of not sleeping well, and teach a series of behavior patterns and habits that facilitate the onset and sleep maintenance.
This activity took place yesterday at the Assembly Hall Day Care Center of Torre-Pacheco, 80 people attended and had the cooperation of the two health centers in the municipality through the intervention of Dr. Vicente Inmaculada López, medical coordinator The Health Center and Dr. Elisardo Roig Narrow, Family Medical Health Center Cózar Antonio.
