On Friday afternoon the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, received at the Plenary Hall of the Municipality of Torre-Pacheco to members of the Musical Union of Torre-Pacheco to mark the first place obtained in the second section of XXI National Competition of Bands "Ciudad de Murcia", held on 13 November at the Teatro Circo de Murcia.

Musical Union in 2009 won first prize in the International Contest Bands "Ciudad de Valencia", the Bands Contest largest in Europe.
