This past weekend was presented in the Board Room IFEPA and framed within Entreculturas programming, a new edition of the National Short Film Festival for Diversity Andoenredando that the City of Torre Pacheco has been organizing since 2009.
The presentation was attended by the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, the Director General of Immigration, Leopoldo Navarro and technical insertion of the Municipality of Torre-Pacheco, Manuel Cebrian.
This festival is sponsored by the City of Torre Pacheco and organized by the Municipal Service for Social Action (IMSAS) under CREACCIONA Project, which supports the Ministry of Labour and Immigration and the European Fund for Integration of nationals from third countries.
The aim of this festival is to sensitize the general public about various societal issues such as childcare, domestic violence, poverty and marginalization, disability or discrimination based on gender, ethnicity or orientation sexual, with special emphasis on promoting cultural and ethnic diversity resulting from migration through the dissemination of short films and video documentaries with social content.
The social nature and purpose of this festival makes it unique in the area of ​​Murcia, just being emulated elsewhere in the country.
For this reason, and with funding from the Ministry of Labour and Immigration and the European Fund for the Integration of third country nationals, the City is still committed to this initiative, which is part of the actions of the Project "Creacciona" we have been developing since the beginning of this year, in line with the initiative Andoenredando, this project seeks to promote the social and cultural participation of young people from different nationalities through the use of new information technology and audiovisual communication. Between activities that included the project, and specifically in the area of ​​participation and awareness, we performed the television program "Andoenredando TV", in collaboration with Channel 1 Mar Menor, Torre Pacheco, and the activity "12 proposals for a more solidarity "or the creation of a social spot.
As a culmination of all these activities present the National Short Film Festival for Diversity "ANDOENREDANDO" to be held between 18 and 23 June.
As in previous years, the Festival will award categories:
· Best Short Fiction;
· Best Director;
· Best Actor;
· Best Actress;
· Best Documentary Short;
· And Young Jury Award for Diversity, the latter chosen by young people in the municipality.
