Has won an award for risking his life to save a driver who was dragged by a flood

With them, 30 other individuals and institutions were awarded the Medal of Honor Highway.
With this act, the AEC aims to pay tribute and give public recognition to those people and institutions whose career has been or is closely related to road infrastructure in its broadest conception.
People and institutions working for a safer roads and quality from the state security bodies, as the two actors mentioned, or from other areas such as research, teaching, business, administration and even volunteering.
The award ceremony of the Medals of Honor of the Road was held at the Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos, in Madrid.
The winners were selected from more than one hundred candidates nominated by various bodies connected to the road: public administration with expertise in road infrastructure and traffic (Highways Agency of the Ministry of Development and the different regions, provincial, Consells councils and island, Traffic Department, Catalan Traffic, Traffic Department of the Basque Government ...), universities, academic and research centers, industry associations and private companies.
In the year 2012, was distinguished with the International Medal of Merit to Deputy Minister of Transport of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah Al-Mogbel, in recognition of outstanding efforts to improve the roads in his country, and for his advocacy for road global in its capacity as president of the International Road Federation (International Road Federation, IRF).
