The trade fair town of Torre Pacheco welcomed yesterday at the XIII Paella Solidarity, as is traditional, organized Manos Unidas and coincided with the VII Regional Meeting for Solidarity of Manos Unidas.
This event aims to raise funds to finance supportive objectives in the neediest places on earth, both economically and socially.
Attendees tasted a menu whose ingredients have been donated free of charge in their vast majority, for businesses and individuals.
Addressed serving a hundred volunteers, as well as providing work for free, pay the amount of their invitation.
This year, the collection is dedicated to Paella Guatemala Solidarity.
In this country we want to build a library and a computer room with its consequent provision of equipment and personnel.
This project has a budget of over € 21,000.
The meal came the mayor of Torre Pacheco and several councilors of the corporation, the CEO of Social Affairs and Immigration Equality of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, Leopoldo Navarro, the regional deputy, Thomas Violante and several episcopal representatives.
