On Friday April 12 awards were decided XIX Senior Poetry Contest for 2013, which involved 38 people aged over 60 nationwide.
Its purpose is to bring culture and, specifically, the collective poetry of older people, as a vehicle for artistic expression.
The winning works were:
- First prize to Ms. María del Carmen Barrios Rull Leganes (Madrid), for his work "the red".
- Second prize for D.
Jose Luis Abad Rock of Pamplona for his work: "And people look at us."
- Third prize to Ms. Esther Cano Andrés de Madrid for his work: "Colors".
The awards will be presented on Sunday, April 21, at 11:30 am in the Auditorium of the Public Library of Torre-Pacheco, who will take advantage of the occasion to pay tribute to World Book and Copyright Day.
