On 23 April is the day of the book.

For this reason the Board of Culture and Education together with the Municipal Library of Torre-Pacheco has organized a series of activities in the book and reading, which this year is dedicated to the fiftieth anniversary of the birth of the poet Constantine Cavafy.

In yesterday morning prizes were awarded several contests.

Here are the winners:

- XIX POETRY CONTEST FOR SENIORS

THIRD PRIZE: Ms. Esther Cano Andrés de Madrid, for his work entitled "Colors".

Prize: 100 € and Diploma.

SECOND PRIZE: D.

Jose Luis Abad Peña de Pamplona, ​​for his work entitled "And the people look at us."

Prize: 200 € and Diploma.

FIRST PRIZE: Ms. Maria del Carmen Barrios Rull of Madrid, for his work entitled "Red Numbers" Prize: 300 € and Diploma.

CATEGORY A (Alumni / ae Childhood Education): Maria Martinez Buendia (CCE 4 years Pasico II Torre-Pacheco).

AWARDED: David Quesada Martinez, author of the short story entitled "A philosopher in the rubble."

- XX SHORT STORIES CONTEST VILLA DE TORRE PACHECO

ACCESIT: Alejandro Morellón Mariano, author of the story "SOUP PLATE NO RETURN".

Prize 750 € and Diploma

FIRST PRIZE: Adolfo Burriel Borque, author of the story "A HAPPY MAN".

Prize: 1500 € and Diploma

After the awards Eloy Sanchez Rosillo gave a talk-recital.

Also, on Saturday was a tribute to the poet balsiqueño, Carlos Fuentes Penafiel, in the Public Library of Torre-Pacheco, in which family and friends of the poet read his poems.
