Its opening will close the old purification of these villages
The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, and the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García, today inaugurated two pipes that discharge wastewater lead the districts of La Hortichuela and Los Cachimanes the general collector of Roland, and east to Roldán-treatment plant balsicas.
These works, totaling 4.5 kilometers in length, are closing the two ancient purification of these two towns.
The owner of Agriculture and Water explained that this action, which involved an investment of 726,000 euros, and has been co-financed by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union by 80 percent, "improve the quality and sanitation service the more than 600 residents of these nuclei and concentrate on the treatment plant Roldán-balsicas for wastewater treatment and reuse ".
This plant has a powerful tertiary treatment, which allows reuse water for irrigation with full health guarantee.
Cerda said also that the municipality of Torre Pacheco "is now a comprehensive treatment model and set in water treatment and reuse."
He stressed that in this municipality "have built two large treatment plants, the core of Torre Pacheco and Roldan-balsicas, and collectors associated with a total length of over 45 kilometers."
The Minister recalled that the objective of the General Plan of cleansing and purifying of the Region of Murcia, upon completion of major infrastructure, is to "connect through a network of small rural infrastructure to a main sewage".
