The City Council held in Torre-Pacheco yesterday its traditional plenary Municipal Nursery, with which commemorates Universal Children's Day.
Day on which the prominence corresponds to the smallest, as a representation of children in the municipality, selected by each school, occupied the posts of Mayor and Aldermen usual.
Each school made a motion related to an area (environment, culture, tourism ...) containing the views of children in relation to the problems, needs and desires, perceived by children.
Everyone put their two cents to the Municipal Corporation offering suggestions to improve the town.
Taking advantage of this event which is commemorated the rights of children, the Spanish Association of Medical School Institutional Award Doctor gave Tolosa-Latour 2013 the City of Torre-Pacheco in recognition of his outstanding work in promoting child health, and scientific work on the prevention of childhood obesity conducted among schools in the county by Dr. D.
