The City of Torre-Pacheco, through the Municipal Institute for Social Action Services participates in the project "Personal Assistance and Inclusion Europe 2020" which begins with a meeting in the city of Lodz (Poland), and in which comprise eight European partners, in addition to Spain, from Britain, Germany, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Lithuania and Poland.
The project is funded by the European Union under the Leonardo da Vinci Community initiative.
Its main objective is to promote awareness of the profession of caregiver skill demands, their employment status and the role that people with different capacities as beneficiaries of this type of community in the different member states, especially through employment agencies, labor counselors, public and private providers of service and vocational training centers.
The aim, ultimately, contribute to the training and qualification of people with different abilities, so they can get a better service.
To do this, we will work on improving their ability to select, train and instruct personal caregivers and for employers to become direct.
As expected Project results found conducting a study of the legislation, the current status of the personal attention and quality standards in the different participating Member States; personal interviews will be conducted to people with different abilities to care needs and analyzed them, will determine what the personal attention and professionalism and be drafted guidance on the requirements to be met by professional personal attention, among other products.
The period of execution of the activity is 24 months, ending in July 2015.
