The Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, by the Councillor for Economic Development, Isidro Vivancos, this morning visited facilities SAT San Cayetano, a company that is located in the village of San Cayetano pachequera.
Although the company's offices are located in the part of San Cayetano belonging to municipality of San Javier, this company has most of its production field are in the town of Torre-Pacheco.
The purpose of this visit is to bring and exchange views and concerns about the situation of the company and provide the interest and willingness of the session.
The mayor has been received by José Garcia, manager of SAT San Cayetano and several members of the company, who made a presentation of the company and have taught facilities and operations.
The SAT San Cayetano was incorporated on October 27, 1975 with the union of 10 farmers in the municipality of Torre-Pacheco and with initial production of 764 tonnes.
Three decades later, the company has become an international benchmark in horticultural products with a high level of quality and food safety, championing pepper star product.
The evolution of SAT San Cayetano has been spectacular, currently has more than 60,000 tons of annual production and turnover of 40 million euros annually.
The SAT San Cayetano markets its fruit and vegetables in the EU, the U.S. and Asia, and its trade policy and commercial settings with fixed prices whose destination is the large retail chains.
