La Torre-Pacheco Library has been awarded the Campaign XV Reading Promotion "Maria Moliner," organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports to reward the best projects or activities to promote reading among children and young in libraries with fewer than 50,000 inhabitants.
The project presented and developed by the Library called "Andoleyendo" which promotes reading among children and youth, thus enriching their imagination and develop their communication skills.
Have been developed storytelling, a book club, competition short stories, meetings with authors and many other activities.
This year the winning number was reduced to 300 compounds Bibliographic libraries receiving lots by 180 children's books, selected among the novelties of each year, a reader e-reader and an annual subscription cultural magazines 5.
Furthermore, as the project of the Library of Torre-Pacheco scored more than 90 points, you receive two lots of books, 54 books for adults and 46 for children and youth.
Note that this campaign over 2,300 projects developed by municipal libraries throughout Spain were presented.
