Monsignor Lorca Planes spoke words of encouragement to the whole parish community of Torre Pacheco, explaining that "we live in a society that has become insensitive to the drama and violence but by such grave acts such as we have experienced ourselves as Christians we can not stay in despair, but it is always reason to look to the Lord, rise up, and go to Him as did the prodigal son, knowing that God forgives everything and can do everything. "
He prayed for those who committed the robbery and was happy to have been able to celebrate the Eucharist together with all present.
The event was attended by nearly a thousand people, and the Vicar of the area and other priests the sons of the people.
