The show, which has been exposed from 10 January to 5 February at the Municipal Archives of Torre-Pacheco, has been visited by nearly a thousand visitors, who have had the unique opportunity to admire the most significant documents of the arrival of Fernando Rey the Kingdom of Murcia, where he prepared the conquest of the Muslim kingdom of Granada.
The April 26, 1488, the Catholic Monarchs came to Murcia with the main objective to conquer the eastern kingdom of Granada.
In early June Ferdinand Lorca set off to head the army concentrated there, from where he left to start the campaign for land Almería.
On his return he visited Caravaca, Murcia returned to where they had been the queen and court for just over three months, and finally left the kingdom by night in Yecla.
The exhibition has shown the presence of the Catholic Monarchs in Murcia in that year by facsimiles of contemporary documents issued by the kings themselves, explanatory panels, maps, objects, and audiovisual and other components that complement the information on this historic event.
It is the first time that an exhibition is brought to the Municipal Archives, due to the large number of visitors is working on bringing new exhibits in the future.
