The City of Torre-Pacheco, through the Department of A rea Health & Welfare has opened the submission of short films in competition, corresponding to the sixth edition of the International Film Festival for Diversity "Andoenredando".
This Festival will award, Best Actress, Youth for Diversity and International Award for Best Short Film Jury national awards for Best Short Fiction, Best Short Documentary, Best Short Film Director, Best Actor.
The Festival, which began in 2009, has a clear cultural dimension, bringing new audiences to the cinema as a vehicle for artistic expression and social communication and supporting and promoting the work of directors, producers and performers.
It also has an important social component, as is to sensitize the general population about different social issues such as child care, domestic violence, poverty and exclusion, disability and discrimination gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation, placing a special emphasis on promoting ethnic and cultural diversity resulting from migration by distributing short films and documentaries with social content.
As requirements to compete are, among others, that the genre of the short-fiction or documentary, produced after January 1, 2013 and not more than 30 minutes, including credits.
They must also develop a theme of social content.
