This morning the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid with President of Tennis Club Torre-Pacheco, Pedro José Izquierdo Madrid, presented the Municipal School Paddle Torre-Pacheco.

The implementation and management of the School will be in charge of the Tennis Club Torre-Pacheco, in collaboration with the Department of Sports, favoring creation extending a sports offer quality in our town, as well as promoting practice and competition of this sport.

The paddle began at the Tennis Club Torre-Pacheco in the year 2008 due to the expansion of the facilities could enjoy inaugurating two new tennis courts, 2 squash courts and 2 paddle tennis courts.

This was possible thanks to a collaboration agreement with the city of Torre-Pacheco, and in recent years the rise of the paddle in our town has been so strong that it has not yet peaked, thanks largely to the entry into the sport women, and the socializing character and for many families means that many of its members practice.

Highlight important data as in Spain is already shown that sport with more practitioners and fans, even over football, which exceeds federal but not players.

This trend has been paralleled in regards to school Paddle Club.

In 2008 only one monitor was teaching about 15 students divided into 5 groups, while already in 2012 and 3 monitors, pupils exceeded one hundred.

Of course, just 1 door (of the 2 available to the club) was intended to classes, and these classes were intended for adult learners who largely initiated in this sport.

The Municipal School Paddle now intends to expand its services and reach all pachequeros.

A new school in which to work the bases (nursery school), for children who want to learn this sport have the opportunity to do so in the best conditions, covering levels beginner, advanced and competition.

And of course, thanks to new facilities to expand the offer adult classes who want to improve in flexible hours including classes from 9 in the morning until 23 at night throughout the year.

And all the school currently has 3 monitors with formal qualifications, with extensive experience in the sport as players and as technicians.
