The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, and the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García, today inaugurated the works manifold Camachos, which will serve a population equivalent to one thousand inhabitants, whose houses will be connected to the main sewage.
This collector, 5.1 kilometers long, will collect the scattered waters for treatment and reuse areas.
The works have an investment of 900,000 euros, financed 80 percent by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union.
Cerda said that this collector "water infrastructure improves sanitation of the village of Los Camachos and housing, agricultural and industrial park facilities Dolores de Pacheco, found along the route of the collector area and vertebra Torre Pacheco golf driving water to the treatment plant through Drive Dolores de Pacheco ".
The agriculture minister remarked that this infrastructure "culminates integral sanitation in the municipality of Torre Pacheco," adding that "aims to improve the performance and solve the evacuation of wastewater with small villages."
Cerda said that since the Ministry of Agriculture "continue pursuing the actions of the General Plan of cleansing and purifying we are developing to address the lack of infrastructure in nuclei with large geographic dispersion."
The General Plan of cleansing and purifying of the region represents an investment of 600 million euros and allowed sewage to provide all of the municipalities in Murcia with more than 100 cubic hectometers per year is recovered, and the construction a network of more than 700 kilometers of collectors.
