The City of Torre-Pacheco part in the meeting held in the city of Nijmegen (Netherlands), in the framework of the "Personal Assistance and Inclusion Europe 2020" and with eight European partners are integrated in addition to Spain from Britain, Germany, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Lithuania and Poland.
The project is funded by the European Union under the Leonardo da Vinci Community initiative.
Its main objective is to promote awareness of the profession of caregiver demands skill, their employment status and the role of people with disabilities as beneficiaries of this type of community services in the different member states, especially through employment agencies, job counselors, public and private service providers and vocational training centers.
Ultimately aims to contribute to the training and qualification of persons with disabilities, so that they can get better service.
To do this, we will work on improving their ability to select, train and instruct personal caregivers as well as to become direct employers.
As expected results of the project are conducting a study on the legislation, the current situation of personal attention and quality standards existing in the participating Member States;
personal interviews with people with disabilities will be made about their care needs and the same will be analyzed;
will determine what the personal attention and professionalism and guidance on requirements to be met by the professional of personal care, among others tender.
The period of execution of the activity is 24 months, ending in July 2015.
