Yesterday, the day commemorating 178 anniversary of the founding of the City of Torre-Pacheco, the act of naming the "Rotunda of the General Air Academy" (located at the intersection of Avenidas de Orihuela and Vereda Baltasar Garzón Torre took place -Pacheco).
The event was attended Garre Alberto López, President of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Colonel Director General Air Academy, Juan Pablo Sánchez de Lara, the mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Fina Marin, the director general of Educational Centers, María Dolores Valcárcel, town councilors of Torre-Pacheco and authorities of the General Air Academy.
The event began with the discovery by the authorities of the word plate "Rotonda General Air Academy", which houses the E.25-48 tickets donated by the General Air Academy in San Javier as a symbol of such close ties that have always united to Torre-Pacheco General Air Academy.
After the inauguration the authorities moved to the Plaza de Santiago del Barrio de Santiago and Villabrasil Torre-Pacheco, where authorities conducted interventions and where the Musical Unit of the General Air Academy gave a concert led by Lieutenant José Manuel Musician Castelló Sánchez and also with the participation of the Band of bugles and drums of the General Air Academy
'CASA C-101 Aviojet'
The 'CASA C-101 Aviojet' is one of the most recognized achievements of the Spanish aeronautics.
A plane designed in 1975 and entered service for the first time in Murcia with April 4, 1980, in the 793 Squadron of the Air Academy in San Javier which pays tribute to the roundabout Torre-Pacheco.
