This morning the City of Torre-Pacheco has given the IES Gerardo Molina two vehicles for use within the premises of the center for work experience assembling and disassembling parts of such vehicles by students taking a module related automotive (body).
Within the various vocational training courses that are taught in Gerardo Molina, the module to which the vehicles are transferred belongs to the Occupational Transportation and Vehicle Maintenance.
Formative Cycle Level in Body and Basic Professional Training Course Training Vehicle Maintenance, the latter recently introduced (This September has begun, due to the new education law) are given.
Both cycles with 2 courses lasting for a total of 2000 hours included placements in the area related to the sector.
The degree you get half the student after graduation grade is "Body Technician" trained to work in the area of ​​body building industries and vehicle maintenance;
in other productive sectors where sheet metal work, body transformations are performed, and heavy vehicles, construction and repair of fiber elements and compounds and paint, or continue studying in a Higher Grade cycle.
Students are over 16.
This assignment is temporary because the vehicles after practices become decontaminated and recycled in a CARD (Authorised Recycling and Decontamination) center.
This collaboration between the municipality of Torre Pacheco and Gerardo Moilina IES Torre-Pacheco has been underway for several years.
