The City of Torre-Pacheco and Ecovidrio, the non profit organization responsible for managing the recycling of packaging waste glass in Spain, in collaboration with the Association of Entrepreneurs of Hospitality Torre-Pacheco (HOSTPA) driving campaign to encourage the collection and recycling of packaging waste glass in catering establishments in the municipality.
The campaign will run in two phases.
First, surveys were conducted at 60 institutions to report the campaign and identify the needs of hoteliers.
Subsequently, we will implement actions to contribute to the improvement of the collection in this channel, and the distribution of special cubes that have 90 liters.
These cubes provide transportation and emptying of waste container glass in hotel operations.

Facts recycled glass in Torre-Pacheco
The initiative will continue to raise the pounds of packaging waste glass containers deposited in Torre Pacheco.
According to the latest data from 2013, the city residents recycled a total of 311,970 kg of glass, which means that each neighbor recycled an average of 9.3 kg of glass.
As for the Autonomous Region in 2013 citizens 21.974.162kilogramos total recycled glass containers, meaning that each neighbor recycled an average of 14.9 kg of this material.
