The City of Torre-Pacheco is involved these days in the Days of Balance-Balance Project "Towards a Reconciliation Steward", held at the Institute of Women and Equal Opportunities Madrid and which along with 14 other municipalities in Spain, the Women's Institute, the Federation of Municipalities and 2 municipalities in Norway, are exchanging information and experience among local authorities and actors involved, to foster development and implementation of plans for reconciliation.
This project is being conducted in the framework of the cooperation between the European Economic Area (EEA) and the Government of Spain, Balance Project has the support of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and the Association Norway on Local and Regional Authorities (KS) and its main purpose is to encourage reconciliation and responsibility at the local level.
In addition the City of Torre-Pacheco has involved the following municipalities: Madrid, Majadahonda (Madrid), Almeria, Cadiz, Jaen, Candeleda (Ávila), Cambre (A Coruña), Verin (Orense) Vilagarcia de Arosa (Pontevedra), Barakaldo ( Vizcaya), Mérida (Badajoz), Pedro Muñoz (Ciudad Real), Cabezon de la Sal (Cantabria) and Ibiza (Balearic Islands).

Included in this project, Torre-Pacheco received last Oct. 30 the day "Reconciliation as a business strategy," an event that was intended to discuss the benefits of implementing business plans in the Reconciliation of personal, family and labor.
