The City of Torre-Pacheco participates in the "Personal Assistance and Inclusion Europe 2020" project, in which eight European partners are integrated, in addition to Spain, from Britain, Germany, Holland, Czech Republic, Lithuania and Poland.
The project is funded by the European Union under the Community Initiative Leonardo da Vinci.
Its main objective is to promote awareness of the profession of carer, their demands for qualifications, their employment status and the role that people with disabilities as beneficiaries of this type of community services in the different member states, particularly through employment agencies, job counselors, public and private service providers and vocational training.
Ultimately aims to contribute to the training and qualification of persons with disabilities, so they can get better service.
To do this, we will work on improving their skills to select, train and instruct personal caregivers and to become direct employers.
As expected results of the project are conducting a study on the legislation, the current situation of personal attention and quality standards existing in the participating member states;
personal interviews with people with disabilities will be made about their care needs and the same will be analyzed;
be determined what the personal attention and professionalism and guidance on requirements to be met by the professional personal care, among other products tender.
