Yesterday the mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Fina Marin Otto received several athletes of the municipality, who have earned a medal in a championship of Spain or above in 2014, in greeting his outstanding sporting career, his special dedication and effort, and its contribution to the design and dissemination of the municipality of Torre-Pacheco.
This year has been 24 recognized athletes who have won medals in championships in Spain and Europe, shows the condition of the pachequero sport.
In addition, two pachequeros players who play Villarreal CF were also recognized for their games with the national U-16, 17 and 19 and, in the case of Adrian Marin, to play in the Europa League, First Division or the Copa del Rey.
The Mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Fina Marin Otto, congratulated the winners and highlighted the important work of these athletes this year have been recognized since their success has been the result of effort and work performed daily, some in their activity as clubs or sports teams, and others in his tenacity and ability to excel in the practice of a sport.
Nor did he forget the rest of athletes and clubs that had not been recognized and encouraged them to continue working in this line of improvement and enhancement, since the true reward is to feel fulfilled with practice and perseverance in that to which it is engaged.
He also stressed the passion there for the sport in our town, either through the organization of sporting events, the good level of our athletes and the great love of sport with the pachequeros, using all facilities or well with your participation in any sports competition that is organized.

- Arturo Gómez Saura: Bronze at the World Championships Cadet Taekwondo held in Baku (Azerbaijan)
- Joaquín Albaladejo Cegarra: Bronze in the Championship of Spain Cadet Taekwondo held in Marina D'or
- Marta Sánchez Buendía: Silver in the Championship of Spain Senior Taekwondo held in Cáceres
- Mª Isabel Sánchez: Gold Championship Spain senior Taekwondo held in Cáceres
- Carmen Ruiz Pulido: Bronze in the Championship of Spain Senior Taekwondo held in Cáceres
- Alejandro Sánchez Ros: Silver in the Championship of Spain Senior Taekwondo held in Cáceres
- Javier Buendía Meroño: Bronze in the Championship of Spain Taekwondo Poomses
